A number of orb spiders have recently appropriated space in my apartment. Since their living areas are mostly corners and ceilings, I don’t have much of a problem with it despite receiving payment solely in spider silk.
I fear I may have to start instituting and enforcing a small number of tenant regulations, however. Lately they’ve been expanding their territory and I’m feeling a little cramped. Just tonight I discovered that one of my little boarders had claimed the space occupying the doorway to my bathroom — discovered, that is, by crashing through his web on my way to take my pre-bed piss.
As of now I’m putting them on notice. The corners and ceilings are all fair game. But any further encroachment into the rest of the living quarters will be met with measured hostility.
